Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit websites. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience.
We also use localStorage, which is similar to cookies but stores data directly in your browser without expiration.

CountIn uses minimal cookies and localStorage – only what's necessary for the Service to function properly.

- ❌ Tracking cookies – we don't track you across websites
- ❌ Advertising cookies – we don't show ads
- ❌ Social media cookies – no Facebook, Twitter, etc. trackers
- ❌ Third-party marketing – we don't sell your data
3. COOKIES WE USE IN DETAIL
3.1 Essential Cookies (No Consent Required)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, the Service would not work properly.

3.2 localStorage (No Consent Required)
localStorage is used to remember your preferences so you don't have to set them again:

3.3 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used (which features people use, where they drop off) so we can improve it. These cookies are off by default. We use Google Consent Mode v2: analytics storage stays denied until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you Decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are stored and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals.

You can withdraw consent anytime by clearing the countin_consent key in localStorage (or all site data), which makes the banner reappear so you can choose again.
4. PAYMENT PROCESSOR COOKIES
When you make a purchase, Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies for:
- Fraud prevention
- Payment processing
- Remembering payment preferences

5. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES
5.1 Browser Settings
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies
5.2 Clearing localStorage
To clear CountIn's localStorage data:
- Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12)
- Go to Application → Local Storage
- Find countin.band and delete its entries
Or simply clear all browsing data in your browser settings.
5.3 Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you disable essential cookies:
- The Service may not function properly
- Your preferences won't be saved between visits
- Security features may not work
6. DO NOT TRACK
Analytics are off until you opt in via the cookie banner, and you can decline or withdraw consent at any time. We do not use cross-site tracking or advertising cookies regardless of your browser's "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting.
7. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Cookies Policy when:
- We change our cookie usage
- Regulations change
- We add new features
The "Effective Date" at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
