COOKIES POLICY - COUNTIN

Effective Date: June 27, 2026
Version: 1.1

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit websites. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience.

We also use localStorage, which is similar to cookies but stores data directly in your browser without expiration.

2. HOW WE USE COOKIES

CountIn uses minimal cookies and localStorage – only what's necessary for the Service to function properly.

2.1 What We DO Use

Type Purpose Duration Consent Required?
localStorage Store your preferences (BPM, sound settings, last used values) Until you clear browser data No (essential)
Session data Maintain state during your visit Until browser close No (essential)
Cloudflare cookies Security, DDoS protection Session / 30 days No (essential)

2.2 What We DO NOT Use

3. COOKIES WE USE IN DETAIL

3.1 Essential Cookies (No Consent Required)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, the Service would not work properly.

Cookie Name Provider Purpose Duration
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot detection, security 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Security challenge passed 30 days

3.2 localStorage (No Consent Required)

localStorage is used to remember your preferences so you don't have to set them again:

Key Purpose Duration
countin_tracks Your uploaded tracks and settings Until cleared
countin_pro Pro status (if purchased) Until cleared

3.3 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used (which features people use, where they drop off) so we can improve it. These cookies are off by default. We use Google Consent Mode v2: analytics storage stays denied until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you Decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are stored and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals.

Cookie Name Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguish anonymous users 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics Maintain session state 2 years

You can withdraw consent anytime by clearing the countin_consent key in localStorage (or all site data), which makes the banner reappear so you can choose again.

4. PAYMENT PROCESSOR COOKIES

When you make a purchase, Stripe (our payment processor) may set cookies for:

These are set by Stripe, not by us. See Stripe's Cookie Policy for details.
